2022-23 General Meeting Schedule: General Meetings are held the second Saturday of each month, September through May, at 1 p.m. at the Chippewa Valley Museum in Carson Park. If there is a location change it is noted in bold below. Before general meetings, genealogy help is available from noon to 1 p.m. in the museum library.
February 11, 1 p.m. – GRSEC General Meeting at the Chippewa Valley Museum, Carson Park, Eau Claire, WI. Programs: Selika Ducksworth will present: “How is Genealogy Changing African American History Today?”.
March 11, 1 p.m. – GRSEC General Meeting at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library (Carnegie Room), Eau Claire, WI. Programs: Virtual presentation by Reference Archivist, Russell Horton from the Veterans’ Museum, Madison. Do you have a veteran in your family tree? In this presentation, learn about sources, tips, and tricks that you can use to learn about your military ancestor from the Civil War to the present.
April 8, 1 p.m. – GRSEC General Meeting at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library (1st floor Carnegie Room), Eau Claire, WI. Programs: Virtual presentation by Scott Norrick. Topic: Eau Claire in the 1950 Census: Insights and Discoveries.
April 20, 6:30 p.m. – GRSEC is co-sponsoring a presentation by Ken Szymanski at the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library (3rd floor Riverview Room). The Grandpa I Never Knew (book talk accompanied by music).
